Facebook cuts deal to post NFL game highlights

Facebook on Tuesday signed a multiyear agreement with the NFL to post highlights of games throughout the season.

The pact puts official highlights from all 256 regular season games 锟斤拷 plus the playoffs and the Super Bowl 锟斤拷 on the world’s largest social network.

Amazon will debut as an NFL partner with Thursday Night Football this week 锟斤拷 Week 4 by the league’s calendar 锟斤拷 when it streams the Chicago Bears versus the Green Bay Packers.

The e-commerce giant in April won the rights for 10 TNF games, beating out Facebook and YouTube with a $50 million bid 锟斤拷 five times what Twitter paid for TNF rights last season.

The additional outlet advances what the NFL calls its tri-cast distribution Grady Jarrett Womens Jersey model 锟斤拷 broadcast, cable and digital.

Although Twitter no longer has TNF rights, it’s still in the NFL business. The social-media platform cut a new deal with the league in May to give users access to a 30-minute show, #NFLBlitz, that streams live five days a week during the season.

The NFL also uses Twitter and Periscope, its live video-streaming app , to provide fans with pre-game access to all of its prime-time windows.

Though Clement’s catch didn’t involve the doubts surrounding the league’s policy with a receiver going to the ground, it was another example of a dubious rule commissioner Roger Goodell hopes to clarify this offseason.
