Texans quarterback Tom Savage suffered a concussion in a 26-16 loss to the 49ers. Savage was hit by Elvis Dumervil, but briefly returned to the game to create controversy in Houston and with the NFL’s concussion protocol.
Here are this week’s predictions and prognostications, both against the spread and straight up. Thanks again to Bovada for the Week 12 betting lines.
The Rams struggled with the versatile rushing duo of the Vikings. Mark Ingram and Alvin Kamara are even better. Being down Robert Woods is a big blow for LA’s passing game, as well. Todd Gurley will keep the hosts in the game, but eventually Drew Brees will help the Saints build a comfortable lead vs. a shorthanded Jared Goff.
After facing a Baltimore defense that shut out his team, Brett Hundley faces an even stronger Pittsburgh unit against the pass. The Steelers also are playing better against the run of late. Ben Roethlisberger and Antonio Brown will stay hot against a reeling secondary with more help from JuJu Smith-Schuster. Le’Veon Bell will get plenty of second-half work to pad the lead and work the clock.
The Ravens’ offense has looked bad all season, and while they can’t replace Joe Flacco yet, they can add more highly skilled players around him. Sutton can be their new No. 1 receiver.
The Falcons don’t have any glaring needs outside of bolstering their offensive line (and potentially replacing offensive coordinator Steve Sarkisian). Robert Ryan Spooner Jersey Alford and Desmond Trufant aren’t going anywhere, but Davis is a perfect fit for the Falcons’ secondary, and they recently cut former second-round pick Jalen Collins.

The Jaguars being linked to Allen will depend on two things. One, the more say coach Doug Marrone has in the position, the more Allen seems plausible. And two, if they are able to sign a veteran like Alex Smith or Eli Manning, the Jags might feel Allen learning behind him would be worthwhile.
